Many miles before we sleep...

As we head south on I-495 thru Massachusetts, we are taking in final glimpses of New England in the fall and thanking the Lord for the opportunity to minister at East Hebron Baptist Church (Turner, ME).  Upon our arrival, we were thrilled to hear that seven teenagers had recently attended "Youth Fest" hosted by Pastor Jim Townsley of Central Baptist Church (Southington, CT). At this event, several of these teens made decisions to fully surrender to God's will for their lives.   We were so blessed to watch May, one of the teens, using her musical talents for the Lord throughout our meeting.   The people at East Hebron seemed to be refreshed by the four-day meeting,  despite the hectic schedules that many were keeping; and, as always, the folks were extremely kind and gracious to our family.  May the Lord richly bless them for that!

We have 1,600 miles to drive in the next three days, as we drive from Turner, ME, to Palos Hills, IL, to drop off our trailer for an upcoming week of meetings and then drive home to Bill Rice Ranch for next weekend's Men's retreat. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers.

They Came with Expectancy...

We are enjoying a beautiful, crisp Saturday morning as we trek from Denver, Pennsylvania, to Turner, Maine.    The fall color change has not disappointed, as we crest the rolling hills of New England and enjoy breathtaking crimsons, yellows and brilliant orange hues along our trip.  We praise the Lord for a fantastic week at Mount Zion Baptist church!  Our fellowship with Pastor Keith Sweitzer and the people of the church was such a blessing. Members arrived each night, bringing along many visitors with them.  It was obvious that the Lord met specific needs and stirred the hearts of the people to a closer walk with Him.    One of the highlights of the week, besides the great nightly attendance and enthusiastic spirit of the people, was meeting two men who are both currently pursuing evangelism and full-time preaching ministry.  We look forward to hearing how the Lord directs them and their families in service to Him.

We begin a Sunday thru Wednesday meeting with Pastor Paul Swihart and our friends at the East Hebron Baptist Church tomorrow. Thank you in advance for praying for our family that we would have improved health (from nasty colds) and a renewed passion to see souls saved and Christians stirred in south-central Maine.

Sincerely,

Tim and Brittany

September update

September ministry update in a nutshell...NY week-long meeting, RI family conference, impromptu trip to GA to visit family via PA and a visit to Sight and Sound theater and several Wednesday evening and Sunday preaching engagements sprinkled in. Definitely a different schedule, but what a blessing it has been to be in so many churches and to see so many loved ones!  Now, we are home in Murfreesboro for a packed week of teaching and preaching. Grateful for the Lord's guiding hand and your sincere prayers for us.

Highways, happy reunions and home sweet home!

Dear TTEM friends,
We have now been home for nearly two weeks and are well underway to Bill Rice Ranch summer camp 2015 with orientation beginning in just a few short weeks!  We have officially moved from our travel home  back into our Ranch abode, are enjoying being a part of our home church, Nolensville Road Baptist Church, once again and are gearing up for the newest addition to the Thompson household, Mr. Asher (middle name still to come), due to come any day now!  We praise the Lord for our home here on the Ranch and for the many neighbor friends with which Tim, I and the boys are privileged to work alongside.
Our spring travel season was insanely busy yet rewarding as we saw the Lord bless the services in Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Georgia with great attendance and eager individuals who desired to hear what the Word of God had for them.  Not only did we make new friends in these churches and meet some choice servants of the Lord who challenged us in our faith, but we also crossed paths with “old acquaintances” who are very dear to the Thompson family.  We had some very special times reminiscing with these friends and thank the Lord for the blessing they were to us.  We are also so grateful for safety on the roads and for our equipment running smoothly.  We are reminded so often that safety TRULY is of the Lord!
We look forward to updating you soon with summer highlights and baby pics!

Beginning the "last stretch"

We had a fantastic time at Bethany Baptist Church (Lubbock, TX) for our BRR Conference on Marriage and the Home.  Dr. Bill Rice and Wil Rice encouraged families in 4 different sessions while Tim and I provided special music and conducted kids meetings during the sessions.  After a safe and early flight on Monday morning back to Nashville, we quickly got our house in order and left with truck and trailer this morning for Michigan. We have the privilege of having Katie Skrabacz traveling with us for the next two weeks in MI, helping with music and children's meetings.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts and prayers as we travel many miles in the next month and a half for 6 weeks of meetings, three of which are in Michigan, then Iowa, Wisconsin and finally, Thomasville, GA.  You can view this itinerary here.  Our greatest desire is for God's presence and power in each of these meetings. We also appreciate your prayers for good health and safety for all, especially Brittany in this last trimester.

Catching up the times...

Unfortunately, we are, once again, way behind on updates but hope to be better in the future.  There seems to be a pattern that when we find out we're expecting a baby, the updates drop off the priority list--definitely not on purpose, but the main blogger (a.k.a-Brittany) all of a sudden has a new little "priority" vying for her attention.  The Lord has been so good to keep us safe in travels, give us a nice time over the Christmas holidays with family and now, we are staring into the face of March.  Where is the time going?!

We were thrilled to find out this past September that we have another little one on the way!  Time has been flying by in this pregnancy, and we look forward to meeting our little man some time within the next 9 weeks or so (due date is May 15, but we expect to meet him earlier)!  Travels and pregnancy are mixing well at this point, but as I'm 29 weeks along this coming Friday, we would appreciate your prayers for continued safety for the baby and me in this last trimester, especially since we have non-stop meetings until my 37th week.

The last couple of months have consisted of our 10th annual"Florida trip" with Dr. Bill and Mary Rice.  We always enjoy our time with them, and services have been profitable in ministering to church folks, seeing several souls saved and raising awareness/funds for the "campership fund" which allows deaf young people ages 8-19 to continue to come to the Bill Rice Ranch free of charge as they have since Day 1.  If you would have any interest in sponsoring a deaf child's life-changing week to camp, visit the Bill Rice Ranch website for more information.

We head back to the Bill Rice Ranch this coming Monday after our last service in FL with the Rices at Community Baptist Church (Bradenton, FL).  Tim and I leave our boys with family and fly out Thursday to Lubbock, TX, to participate in a Bill Rice Ranch Conference on Marriage and the Home hosted at Bethany Baptist Church with both Wil Rice and family and Dr. Bill and Mary.  After arriving home the following Monday, we will set out at the end of that week for weeks of revival meetings in MI, WI, IA and GA.  We do not take for granted your thoughts and prayers as we travel many miles in likely inclement weather and minister in these churches along the way.

May the Lord bless you, and we will be in touch in the near future!

Partners in Christ's service,

Tim and Brittany Thompson
